Material: hardened tool steel (Rockwell hardness >C60) polished to a high tolerance fit. 

This is the smallest die we stock. At such small diameters, you need such a small force (around 100 lb!) for very high stresses on the powder. We do not suggest using with a hydraulic press which does not have an accurate read out for low forces. Do not use this die with a big, heavy press - you can easily exceed the yield stress of the steel. You can even push down hard with your hand or tap it with a mallet to create sufficient force for compaction. 

Die made of hardened tool steel (Rockwell hardness >C60) for long lasting trouble free performance. Sleeve is polished to high tolerances to allow the hardened tool steel plunger to slide through perfectly. Plunger and spacers are made from high yield strength steel, machined and polished to high tolerance for the perfect fit. Interior surfaces ground to mirror-like finish.
