Material: hardened tool steel (Rockwell hardness >C60) polished to a high tolerance fit.

12 to 13 mm (~1/2 inch) Pellet Die Sets are commonly used in material science for making larger KBr pellets for FTIR. 12.7 mm Pellet Dies are easy to use and easy to handle. If 12.7 mm just won't work for you and you need a 13 mm or a 12 mm pellet die set just complete the custom pellet die form and we'll make it for you asap.

Die made of hardened tool steel (Rockwell hardness >C60) for long lasting trouble free performance. Sleeve is polished to high tolerances to allow the hardened tool steel plunger to slide through perfectly. Plunger and spacers are made from high yield strength steel, machined and polished to high tolerance for the perfect fit. Interior surfaces ground to mirror-like finish.
