High Strength Heat Treated Steel
1/2 inch Pellet Die Sets are commonly used in material science for making larger KBr pellets for FTIR. 1/2 inch Pellet Dies are easy to use and easy to handle. If 1/2 inch just won't work for you and you need a 13 mm or a 12 mm pellet die set we also hold these sizes in stock.
Die made of hardened tool steel (Rockwell hardness >C60) for long lasting trouble free performance. Sleeve is polished to high tolerances to allow the hardened tool steel plunger to slide through perfectly. Plunger and spacers are made from high yield strength steel, machined and polished to high tolerance for the perfect fit. Interior surfaces ground to mirror-like finish.
